There are many, many reasons why you would want to start a blog. And in today's blog, I'm going to tell you some core reasons why you should start blogging today.

Let's Start With

What exactly is Blogging?

Writing, photography, and other forms of media that are self-published online are referred to as blogging. Blogging began as a way for individuals to post diary-style entries, but it has already been incorporated into many businesses' websites. Blogging distinguishes itself with regular updates, informal language, and possibilities for readers to engage and create a conversation.

The term "blog" is essentially a shortened variant of the term "weblog." Weblogs enabled early internet users to "record" the events of their days in diary-style postings. Because blogs frequently allow users to comment, as they got more popular, communities sprang up around prominent blogs.

Should you start a blog?

The clear cut answer is Yes, you should start your blog if:

1. You want to help and inspire your audience:

If you write blogs on your favourite niche(specific topic) with your full heart and provide valuable information through your blogs, you can help your audience regarding your niche and solve their relevant problems. You can also inspire them by showing your ability to the internet and helping others.

As a blogger, you have an infinite number of ways to inspire your readers.

Consider using your words to inspire others to do the following: Make a positive difference in their lives.

  • Increase their day's productivity.
  • Make something beautiful.
  • Assisting others

All of this is made possible by the power of your blog, so make the most of it.

2. You want to enhance your writing abilities:

Blogging will help you to continuously improve your writing abilities, as it is not easy. You have to face many challenges in the path of writing blogs.

You have to keep updated about your niche, provide valuable information to your audience in an understandable way. You will learn about how to write attractive and engaging content that will ultimately enhance your writing ability.

You'll also get a decent notion of what people respond to if you write frequently. This broadens your creative horizons, allowing you to write about topics that people want to read about. As a result, there will be a greater audience.

3. You want to acquire a new skill:

In your journey of blogging, you have to maintain your blog site. And you need to have many skills to maintain a blog site such as

(a) How to rank your content on Google Search Result Page to reach out to more audiences (i.e., SEO)

(b) How to tweak your site to look attractive and to make it engaging to your readers.

(c) How to design beautiful graphics for making your content a bit more interesting to read.

And many other skills:

  • WordPress Web Design
  • Writing for a variety of audiences
  • Designing web graphics
  • Marketing via email
  • Marketing on social media
  • Content administration
  • Hosting a website

I'm not saying that you can't start a blog if you don't have these skills, I just want to say that it is part of your blogging you can learn all these skills throughout the process.

4. You want to build your online presence on the web.

Blogging can help you in building your online presence. You can have your audience who will love your content and praise you for your efforts.

Those all people will know that you are the owner of that blog and write the valuable content that solves their problem.

Your blog site will act as your personal space on the web as your home.

Building your brand is a wonderful place to start when it comes to turning your blog into something more.

5. You want to face your fear.

Blogging was a great method for me to break out of my shell. As an anxious introvert, it was difficult for me to put myself out there and let my views and opinions be heard.

Blogging provided me with a platform from which to shout, allowing me to address my anxiety of being seen. And in doing so, I realised there are others out there who are similar to me.

There are plenty of other ways to utilise blogging to face your concerns. It can be utilised to combat imposter syndrome and feelings of inadequacy. Writing about something you're afraid of might be cathartic and help you work through your feelings.

In reality, many people utilise blogging to help them deal with their mental health issues. This demonstrates that a blog does not always have to be a well-planned endeavour. Sometimes it's just a space to gather your thoughts.

6. You want to generate an extra source of income

This is most likely the point in which you are most interested. Yes, it is entirely feasible to make a living from your blog; in fact, many people do.

But, while it is conceivable, it is not simple.

Those that are successful and make a living as bloggers have been honing their skills for years. During that time, they have been trying and testing different things to discover what works.

And those years of hustling have been accompanied by long hours of effort.

An excellent place to start is by selecting a profitable niche for your blog. Some are less difficult to make money from than others. However, selling your services through your blog necessitates the development of an audience comprised of people who are most inclined to pay you.

Whatever path you choose, be prepared to put in a lot of time and effort.

7. You want to engage with new people or the community

One thing is undeniable: creating a blog exposes you to a large network of new people. There is a vibrant community for every blogging niche.

What's amazing about this is that it allows you to meet new, like-minded people. Because you share common interests, it will be easy to form acquaintances. And you'll discover that the blogging community are not only welcoming but also beneficial to novice bloggers.

8. You want to record your life's events or moments

Let's go back to the days when was bogging started. A blog was a place where you could write about the events of your daily life, it is just like writing dairy but on the web. I suppose I have an old LiveJournal dedicated to just that someplace in my archives.

However, just though it has grown unpopular in recent years does not preclude you from starting a blog for that reason.

Blogging about your life is a great method to reflect. To some extent, both previous joys and past failures can be learned from. Having a place to keep those memories can help you recognise how far you've come and how much you've learned.

Note: Don't share any personal information on the web.
